Force Of Nature

It was 100% blast.. One of the happening events

The strongest Force Of Nature is the strengh of human spirit. There goes the slogan..LOL..or I Am A Force Of Nature also can.and the simbol is ur hand..LOL..too bad I can't go there cause mum won't let :( and barely manage to sapu sumthin from hitz.fm cause of that too..LOL..but a few days ago, know Paula Abdul & Clay Aiken will be in town..LOL

KUALA LUMPUR: The crowd went wild as their favourite singers appeared on stage at the Force of Nature concert.

They were treated to exciting non-stop entertainment during the star-studded event at Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil last night.

When international act Boyz II Men performed some of their older hits like On Bended Knee, the 15,000-strong crowd clapped and sang along.

American singer Wyclef Jean was also a hit with the audience as he sang a medley of songs that included Jump Around, No Woman No Cry and Guantanamera.

Dressed in white jackets and hats, The Backstreet Boys were full of energy and had the crowd cheering wildly as they belted out a number of old hits and new songs.

Pop group Black Eyed Peas gave an exciting show singing numbers like Let’s Get It Started and Where Is the Love? from their award-winning album Elephunk.

More than RM10mil has been raised from the concert for tsunami-hit countries in the region.

The event is the first initiative of the Force of Nature Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to raise funds for victims of natural disasters around the world and awareness of their long-term needs.

People began arriving at the stadium as early as 5.30pm, with the hope of catching a glimpse of their favourite stars as they walked along the carpet, which was orange – the colour of the foundation’s handprint symbol.

Among the special guests who attended the concert were international star Jackie Chan, American fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons, who is also a former model, American magician David Blaine and Paula Abdul and Clay Aiken of American Idol fame.

The show kicked off at 8pm with American singer Lauryn Hill delivering five songs.

Malaysian bands Innuendo, VE and Ruffedge performed together, singing songs like the popular Belaian Jiwa.

Clad in an orange dress, local jazz diva Sheila Majid sang a couple of songs, including one of her older hits called Manusia, and also performed with Anuar Zain, Dayang Nurfaizah, Innuendo, VE and Ruffedge, singing the inspiring song Jauh.Indonesian star Ruth Sahanaya did a medley before teaming up with American artiste Eric Benet to present Everybody Doesn't Matter.

Among the dignitaries who attended the concert were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Information Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman and Force of Nature Foundation special ambassador Tan Sri Razali Ismail.
